My words. Your cash. That’s a good deal!

I started life as a baby but then I became a journalist. And as a journalist, I’ve written more days than not since the mid-’90s. For example, this opinion piece for Handelsblatt Global on Angela Merkel. I also really enjoyed researching and writing this feature on knifemaking (PDF) in Portland, Oregon. Corporate journalism? I’ve got you covered with this piece about satellites and media (PDF). Blogs? That’s what berlinerisch.com is all about. Click through the archives over on the right. My specialties are business, culture and anything Germany-related.

What else do I do? Scripts for mobility app ads:

Words for booth graphics – the technology unit of an airline made some cool gadgets and my words fit perfectly.

I even wrote most of a book: I was the lead ghostwriter on Rethinking Luxury, a thick tome about luxury marketing for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants / Rethink. The marketing copy behind that link? Yeah, that’s mine too.

Or quirky scripts for internal human resources marketing videos (these aren’t clickable – they’re internal so I can’t publish them here. But if you’re serious about hiring me, I can make sure you see them).

And I don’t just write, I’m also an experienced German-to-English translator. For a decade I’ve translated an employee magazine for the world’s largest dialysis company and I’ve translated press material for a major carmaker, annual reports for a healthcare company and how-to guides for a chemicals company.
